Road to Quality Improvement

ae00.jpg Road to Quality Improvement was a national project of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, with the full title "SELF-EVALUATION – Creation of the system and support for schools in the self-evaluation field". The project was realized in partnership by the National Institute of Vocational Education and the National Institute for Further Education. The project was funded from the European Social Fund and the state budget of the Czech Republic.

Road to Quality Improvement Project was aimed at supporting schools in a versatile way in the field of self-assessment.

Elementary and secondary schools have a statutory duty to regularly carry out assessment of their own work. Looking with some insight at one’s own activities is not, however, an easy task and many schools consider it a big problem. Withal, only well-conducted self-assessment (self-evaluation) indicates the pros and cons of the current school work and can become a springboard for positive changes and also for strengthening the autonomy of schools. Road to Quality Improvement therefore offered schools a helping hand.
