Analysis of ECVET Necessity and VET Readiness in the CR

The aim of the fourth part of the study is to search for an answer to certain questions pertaining to the character of the new European ECVET instrument, in particular with respect to its relationship with the system of technical and vocation education already implemented in the Czech Republic. It should help identify and describe the possible positive and negative influences of ECVET implementation on technical education in the Czech Republic.

In the introductory text, the implementing team draws attention to some broader circumstances of the study, not with the aim to affect the readers' opinion but rather to inform them about the broad context and issues we face.

This section is followed by a draft SWOT analysis. It is compiled in the form of short assessments of the strengths and weaknesses of the initial and continuing technical education, and of the overall context in which the evaluation took place, and of possible positive and negative impacts of ECVET implementation. It is structured as a common SWOT analysis.

The draft SWOT analysis has been prepared by the implementing team and submitted to external experts for evaluation and comments. Based on the proposals received, the draft SWOT analysis was amended correspondingly.
