Allocation of Credit Points to Partial Qualifications in NQF

Aim : Ascertain, describe and test a simple mechanism that will utilize the National Qualifications Frameworkand its infrastructure.

Description:

The allocation of credit points to partial qualifications in NQF will be based on the following mechanism:

  • If the partial qualifications allow for the constitution of full qualifications, the system will allocate the full number of credit points to the full qualification (pro ISCED 3C) based on the fact that according to ECVET one year of full-time study corresponds to 60 credit points, i.e. 180 credit points per full qualification corresponds to a 3-year study programme. Credit values allocated to individual partial qualifications will be proposed by a NÚOV guarantor; the proposal will be submitted by a secretary to the sector council.
  • If the partial qualifications do not constitute the full qualification, the NÚOV guarantor will propose the number of credit points based on the assumed time span of a corresponding full-time programme; the proposal will be submitted by secretary to the sector council.
